Suzuki Recalling Over 68,000 Bikes for Electrical Issues

A mass recall has been issued by Suzuki Motor of America, with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, has issued a mass recall that affects 68,344 motorcycles. The recalled motorcycle model has a defect in the circuit board for its regulator/rectifier power module, which as a result, may not charge the battery sufficiently. This can cause the battery to lose its charge, which could stall the motorcycle.  Suzuki will notify the affected owners and will replace the regulator/rectifier free of charge. Concerned owners may call 1-800-444-5077 and reference the recall. The following bikes are affected.

 

  • 2008-2012 Suzuki AN400
  • 2008-2012 Suzuki DL1000
  • 2008-2009 Suzuki GSF1250S
  • 2008-2010 Suzuki GSX-R600
  • 2008-2010 Suzuki GSX-R750
  • 2008 Suzuki GSX1300BK
  • 2008-2012 Suzuki GSX1300R
  • 2008-2010 Suzuki GSX650F
  • 2009-2010 Suzuki SFV650
  • 2008-2010 Suzuki VLR1800
  • 2009-2010 Suzuki VZ1500
