Shari rides a 2009 Harley Davidson Electra Glide with over 50,000 miles on it
I have been coaching for 9 years and love every minute of my job. I did Route 66 in 2007, the Canadian Rockies in 2008, as well as 40 states that I have ridden to and through. I’ve even had laws changed in NJ to help make the process of getting your license easier and safer. Everyone knows me as a huge advocate of safety when it comes to motorcycles and from what I wear when I ride. Bright colors and lots of lights on the bike! I practice what I preach, and hope to meet you in a class in the near future!

Nothing makes Mike smile more than the open road on two wheels
Hi! my name is Mike DeProspo and I’ve been a RiderCoach here at the Motorcycle Riding Centers for the past 3 years. I am a retired Motorcycle Police Officer. I have been riding motorcycles for 40 years & I have probably ridden close to half a million miles. My goal as a RiderCoach is to help new riders operate their motorcycles safely. We live in the most densely congested area of the Country (NY/NJ Metro area) and with proper training I feel that riders will have a safe & successful ride.
Alex has two loves, riding his Police Motorcycle for work, and teaching people how to ride safely.
Hey, I’m Alex, and I’ve been riding for years. For those “I’ve never been on a bike before” rider, it’s great to get to see the person go through the learning stage. Once it clicks for them, the expression of pure enjoyment and accomplishment on their faces is priceless. It’s also pretty cool when they come back after some time and tell you of their journeys and experiences. That’s what it’s all about for me. Hopefully I’ll see you in class soon and you can tell me all about YOU.

Hi! My name is Mike, and I’ve been riding for about 20 years. Like most kids from north-western New Jersey; I started out on dirt bikes, riding around the woods until I was old enough to ride a street legal motorcycle. One of the first things that occurred to me when I began riding on the road was although the concepts were similar; riding on pavement required a new set of skills and muscle memory. I took the Basic Riding Course in 2009 through Shari’s school and was humbled by the amount that I “didn’t know”. Four years and roughly 45,000 miles later I decided to become a rider coach which has given me the opportunity to help riders just like you learn new skills, or fine tune some existing ones!
Hi! My name is Bobby Adamo. I signed up for the Basic RiderCourse in 2009, started riding, and Shari was my RiderCoach. I quickly fell in love with the sport of riding and after two years of practicing everything I learned in the BRC I decided to go through the Ridercoach program. I became a Ridercoach in 2011 and I’ve been coaching ever since. I truly love and I have a deep passion for coaching new riders and old riders in safe proper motorcycling techniques. It’s an honor and a blessing to know that the skills I’ve coached have kept so many riders on the open road. To my students from the past and in the future, I look forward to riding with you and happy motorcycling!
Hey! My name is Matt Gomez, I was a student of Motorcycle Riding Centers 3 years ago and I’m proud and honored to be a RiderCoach at this school! I am an avid Trackday rider and love my long touring trips. My longest trips have been to Texas 3 times and once to Indianapolis for MotoGP! I have a huge passion for riding and doing so safely! It has been very rewarding to coach students that have never been on a motorcycle and passing along my experience and passion! I look forward to seeing you on the beginning of this amazing journey that is the ride!
Hi my name is Peter Tiernan, I am a retired police motor officer with over 25 years of motorcycle riding experience. I wanted to pass my knowledge and experiences on to others and make motorcycling safer for everybody, so I spoke to Director Shari. Shari and all the instructors are very knowledgeable and proficient teachers and I am proud to be part of this school.
Hi I’m Mike Grasso! I’ve been riding motorcycles from dirt bikes up through metric and American cruisers for the last 40 years. I have been a RiderCoach with Motorcycle Riding Centers for the past 4 years. I am a Motor Officer and Instructor certified by the Maryland State Police since 1998. I am actively involved in the training of all Police Motor Officers in the State of New Jersey and additional States. My biggest goal is to assist new riders and experienced riders attending the Motorcycle Riding Centers MSF Training Program to learn the proper techniques, which will keep them safe and help them to enjoy their riding experience for decades to come.
I am a 39 year rider veteran with many miles, and more importantly, many incredible memories under my belt. My passion for riding is only exceeded by my passion as a Rider Coach. Knowing I am contributing to the safety of new riders and the enjoyment of their early riding experiences is very fulfilling. As a bonus, I get to coach at what I personally feel is the best riding school in the state! Shari is not just the founder of the school but a passionate rider and caring person as well.
So congratulations on taking the first step in joining the club. Ride smart and stay safe!

It is absolutely a great feeling to see trainees complete the course with confidence and pride in their accomplishment. Motorcycle Riding Centers will teach you to ride safely and give you an enjoyable riding experience.
“LIVE TO RIDE AND RIDE TO LIVE!”
Hi everyone, my name is Doug.I have been riding motorcycles for over 30 years with both onroad and offroad experience. I have pleasantly logged well over one hundred thousand miles, having visited an estimated 30 states in the U.S., and have visited Canada and Nova Scotia.
I am a MSF trained rider since 1995 and finally realized a dream of becoming an instructor in 2015. I am proud to say I am now part of the staff at Motorcycle Riding Centers, truly the best program in NJ. The staff here is incredibly capable of sharing and imparting their, love of and knowledge for, riding safely. Our reward is seeing our students succeed and enjoy riding as much as we do. I look forward to meeting you in our classes, and encourage you to take the best step towards your riding goals.
Training, it makes a difference.
I have been riding motorcycles for several years now. I am a police officer and currently assigned to the motorcycle unit. Being a rider coach will allow me to pass that knowledge on to others. Motorcycle Riding Centers is the best place for beginners looking to achieve that first step in their riding experience!
Hi! I am Jose Antunes and I began riding a motorcycle back in 2004 by attending a course just like this one. It was one of the smartest moves I ever made. Now I have the pleasure of coaching new riders as they learn to properly and safely operate a motorcycle. In 2015 I completed the Northwestern University/Harley Davidson Police Motorcycle Officer Training program. This has now allowed me to continue performing my police duties while riding a beautiful motorcycle.
Obtaining my motorcycle license has opened up countless opportunities and created many more personal relationships along the way. When you are on a motorcycle you will be amazed at the people you will meet, the friends you will make and the things you will see that you would not have with any other mode of transportation. So what are you waiting for? Sign on up so we can get you out there enjoying the open road in a safe, responsible manner!
“Oh! The places you’ll go!”
I’m a retired police Sergeant. I began riding after taking this course in 2013. Since then I’ve been through 24 states. I’m hoping to help students gain the same confidence and experience that I gained at this school. I’m hoping to pass on what I learned to the motorcycle community. This course saved my life more than once, and I want to pass that knowledge on to new riders. See you on the road.
Hi, my name is AJ Kostomaj. I’m a retired corrections officer and a veteran of the US Army and Air Force. I’ve been riding for 40 years on and off road. I started out on dirt bikes, and have owned sport bikes as well as cruisers. Working for the federal government afforded me the opportunity to live in many states as well as ride in my off time. My favorite ride was the Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge that goes from Florida to Alaska, it was an experience never to be forgotten. I became a Rider Coach to share my knowledge of safe riding to new and inexperienced riders. I have much to offer in the area of safety and skills that the students who come here will take away with them. My ultimate goal is to educate people and ensure that the riders that leave here will ride safely and with an awareness of their surroundings.
I grew up near Califon New Jersey on a small farm. I have been a Driving Instructor and a Motorcycle Safety Foundation RiderCoach since 2004. Thanks to my parents I have been driving cars and riding dirt bikes and motorcycles from a young age. My first bike was a Yamaha Mini Enduro, which I still own. My dad, sisters, wife Jen, and daughter Sasha all ride. My daughter, Sasha, took the Basic Rider Course (BRC1) and wife Jen continues to take MSF courses to improve her riding and skills. Before becoming a family man racing motorcycles was the most important thing in my life, competing both on-road and off. After retiring my racing suits I decided that becoming a RiderCoach would be a great way to give back to the sport that I love.
